After viewing the apartment we ended up buying, we were hungry. This was late in the fall and we ended up at a “hole in the wall” just a stone throw away from the beach and our home. The place has since become one our regular’s. The place is Pato Palo.
Pato Palo is definitely the best tapas place in the neighborhood. Always friendly service and a good selection of tapas. Some of our favorites are «brocheta de pollo» and «tempura verdura». If you add “jamon iberico” and “plato de queso” it is a great, full meal. And of course, the “croquetas” and … My wife and I usually order five dishes, and we always regret that we did not stop at four.
The outdoor seating is nice both at lunch- and dinner time. The food and drinks are really affordable and Pato Palo is just a great everyday place. Is there something to improve? Maybe the selection of wines, but still, the ones they have are very nice. On the warm summer nights, I really like the chilled Rioja, it warms up soon enough.
